Linked PAN card with Aadhaar? Here’s how you can avoid late fees charges
The new clause in the Finance Bill authorizes the connection of PAN card with Aadhaar, failing which up to Rs 1,000 will be deducted from additional fines for holding an invalid PAN Card. And if someone fails to connect both documents, the person’s PAN Card will work.
Hurry! There are only two days left to connect your Aadhaar Card and PAN Card and if you do not do so before March 31, there will be serious consequences.
There will be no extension dates as the Narendra Modi government has warned that a late fine of up to Rs 1,000 will be levied on anyone who fails to link the two documents.

Section 234H of the Finance Bill (Lok Sabha) states, “Without prejudice to the provisions of this Act, where a person is required to bring his Aadhaar number under subsection (2) of section 139AA and that person fails to do so on or before that date, as may be prescribed, shall be liable to pay such amount, as may be determined, not exceeding one thousand rand (Rs 1,000), at the time of advertising under subsection (2) of section 139AA after the specified date. ”
And if someone fails to link both documents, the individual PAN Card will work and these PAN card holders will face serious consequences under the Income Tax Act by not giving the PAN the tax department.
